Living with fibromyalgia...
Fibromyalgia is quite an unspoken illness that many suffer from.
I developed fibromyalgia at the age of 16. It is a neurological disorder that is trauma- and stress-induced. It's living with chronic pain...
Your body pain is just unbearable sometimes
Unfortunately, there is no cure for this awful illness...
I'd like to shed some light on this.
For invisible illness awareness.

The best way I can explain, burning in the pits, being shackled with nails, needles and spikes digging into your entire body, feeling mauled and trampled over by a hundred horses.
Being beyond fatigued, migraines that last for days. Weakness, widespread pain that I've tried to explain most simply with words.
However, if you can manage your stress levels, that helps immensely.
Fibro is also hugely affected by the weather.
If I'm too hot, my pain is severe; if I'm cold, my pain is unbearable.
Imagine not being able to move and use your hands and arms.
Can't cut your food, Can't hold your cup of coffee, Can't type, Can't brush your hair, Can't write, Can't hold your phone, Can't get dressed by yourself, Can't do much of anything...
But we push through, We go through the pain
Some days can be so unbearable that you cry and cry...
Cry from pain and cry from frustration
I developed this due to all the traumas I suffered as a child through to high school.
Something people don't realize is that stress and trauma can affect your physical health on another level, and the sad part is these things can become lifelong illnesses.
We can manage and deal with our stress, but there will always be factors throughout our lives that can flare these illnesses up.
However, it doesn't mean you cannot manage and deal with it.
Yes, some days you'll say f*ck it I'm not going to do anything today, and you then rest.
Rest is goodâin fact, rest is the best thing to do.
You can also try a couple of home remedies to help the pain and flare-ups.
Then of course stress management.
If you do long-term work on stress the fibro will be a hell of a lot better!
Symptoms of fibromyalgia are many:
>>>headaches, chronic fatigue, widespread pain, muscular stiffness, insomnia, extra sensitivity to pain, sensitivity to sound and light, feeling weak and lacking energy, and more.
6 tips you can try:
1. Epsom salt baths
2. Constantly work on deep breath work
3. Calming meditations, guided or not
4. Chamomile tea and even using the essential oils in your bath as it's anti-inflammatory
5. Lavender scents to help calm you (lavender oil with chamomile oil together in a bath is great too)
6. Heat when it's cold (hot water bottle or beanbag) / Cold when it's hot (ice packs)âsome people get affected by both
Here is a bath recipe:
BATH RECIPE:
1-2 cups of Epsom salts (depends on how full your bath is/how big etc) usually 1 and a half cups)
3-4 drops of chamomile essential aromatherapy oil (skin-safe)
3-4 drops of lavender essential aromatherapy oil (skin-safe)
then only if desired, you may also add 2 drops of peppermint or eucalyptus essential aromatherapy oil (skin-safe)
Side note: Epsom salt does detoxify the body- which can cause a headache when staying in the bath for too long. I suggest drinking lots of water before bathing and after. Do not lay in the bath longer than 15-20 minutes (use warm water, not boiling hot).
Enjoy!

I'M HERE ALSO TO REMIND YOUâYOU ARE NOT A VICTIM TO YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES BUT A WARRIOR!
You ARE STILL standing (no matter how challenging)
My messages added here:
Accept and allow yourself to realise that you can't control absolutely everything
Take care of your first priority WHICH is you when things such as health issues arise
Don't push yourself to the point of an even worse mess that your healing takes even longerâŠ
The world will NOT fall apart if you take some time for YOU - in fact, you'll come back better and do better to be at your fullest potential.
Remember that you are not a victim but a warrior
You are also not alone!
You are still standing!
Sometimes you just gotta let go and surrender to spirit, universe
Seek support, get yourself help health care whatever needs be to help you during this time.
It is possible to do the things!
You can work through it!
You can manage it!
You are fully capable of coping!
Remember that if you focus more on the pain your thoughts will make it worse.
So try to distract yourself and remember to rest up!
REST IS THE MAIN FACTORâLISTEN TO YOUR BODY!!!
...I see you, I hear you, I understand you!
Love and light always, Nikki xoxo
